Lovely 5.6 mile walk, starting from Knightcote, walk to the bottom of Kimble close, across the footpath, up the stone track to Burton Dassett Hills Country Park, down to Fenny Compton, walk through Fenny Compton keeping left and at Hammonds House in Fenny Compton take the footpath via Ongar Coppice nature reserve back to Knightcote. 75 years ago this nation came out of its darkest hour and a light shone on a nation that still inspires to this day.
Today we celebrate those who gave so much for our freedom and in our present time we look to the past for hope, we look at our present time and no matter how scared you may feel, that generation teach us there's hope for a better, brighter future and if we stick together, we will get through these difficult times.
Raise a glass to that generation who gave so much, raise a glass for those who have given so much in our current times and raise a glass for a brighter and better future.
